Schools Promote "Going Green"

As you travel around you're likely to see various schools involved in "Going Green" programs, developing an environmental awareness in their students.

• Perhaps there will be sign in front of the school announcing "Going Green" activities.
• You may see pictures in local newspapers of the students learning about caring for their environment.
• You may see, as I did today, an entire elementary school standing and sitting on the front lawn of the school while the principal explained the "Going Green" concept. Then they sang about their land.
